Playoff MPL ID Season 14 sudah resmi dimulai kemarin pada tanggal 23 Oktober 2024. Antuas para warga Bandung sangat besar dan memenuhi seluruh stadium pada gelaran pertandingan pertama antara Bigetron Alpha melawan Alter Ego Esports. Hari pertama sungguh sangat memberikan kejutan karena tim dengan antusias dan fans yang lebih rendah dari lawannya harus pulang terlebih dahulu dibandingkan tim yang difavoritkan.
Restreamer MPL ID yang bernama Set1awanade harus mengakui prediksi dia salah semua di hari pertama karena Alter Ego Esports dan Fnatic Onic harus pulang di hari pertama. Banyak penonton yang memprediksi pertandingan pertama akan dimenangkan oleh AE karena mereka sudah mempersiapkan segala hal dengan sangat matang untuk mendapatkan slot di M-Series melalui konten Youtubenya sampai 3 episode. Namun, alhasilnya mereka malah menelan kekalahan sampai 3-0 dari Bigetron Alpha.
Kemudian, Sang raja Galaxy, Fnatic Onic yang sangat difavoritkan untuk melawan RRQ Hoshi malah harus tunduk dengan King Slayer, Geek Fam ID yang sukses menumbangkan mereka dengan skor 3-2. Pada pertandingan terakhir, Fnatic Onic sudah hampir memenangkan match tersebut jika Geek Fam tidak menggunakan hero high ground. Kekalahan tersebut memberikan tamparan yang sangat keras kepada Sonic kalau MPL ID Season 14 bukanlah era Onic lagi.
Di hari kedua tanggal 24 Oktober, Team Liquid ID akan berhadapan dengan Bigetron Alpha dan dilanjutkan dengan pertandingan RRQ Hoshi melawan Geek Fam ID. Prediksi dari banyak orang menyatakan kalau kedua tim Upper Bracket akan memenangkan kedua pertandingan tersebut. TLID dengan percaya diri berhasil menumbangkan BTR dengan skor 2-0. Namun, fake comeback dari BTR Alpha yang sudah membawa skor 2-2 malah dikalahkan oleh TLID dengan skor 3-2 dan melanjutkan diri ke final upper bracket.
Pertandingan pertama RRQ Hoshi di ajang playoff MPL ID Season 14 juga berjalan mulus. Seluruh stadium Bandung diisi oleh Kingdom dan memberikan semangat yang tiada akhir kepada RRQ Hoshi. Skor sempat menyentuh 1-1 dan membuat seisi arena panik karena lawan mereka adalah The King Slayer yang berhasil memulangkan Fnatic Onic. Namun, pada akhirnya perjalanan mulus berhasil didapatkan oleh RRQ Hoshi dengan meraih skor 3-1 dan siap melawan TLID untuk memperebutkan satu tiket M6.
Tanggal 25 Oktober besok, akan dilanjutkan 2 pertandingan yang sangat seru, yaitu Bigetron Alpha melawan Geek Fam ID sebagai match hidup atau mati dan Team Liquid ID melawan RRQ Hoshi untuk mengamankan tiket M6. Prediksi dari Set1awanade menyatakan kalau Geek Fam dan RRQ Hoshi yang akan memenangkan pertandingan besok. Akankah ini menjadi langganan curse atau prediksi yang tepat mengingat prediksi hari kedua berhasil 100%?
